“An energy transition that leaves no-one behind": this is the principle that inspires the activities of Fondazione MAIRE, and to recount it more closely, this year we have decided to draw up our first social report.

Following the regulatory principles guiding the drafting of the Third Sector Organisation’s social reports, this volume describes the activities we have carried out, together with you and for you, during 2023: educational programmes and cultural promotion activities, artistic awards or the dissemination of research, a step forward in the valorisation of the 10 linear kilometres of drawings and projects that make up MAIRE's historical archive. The Foundation's activities aim to spread a culture of responsible behaviour, tackle educational poverty, and train the youth who will be the “humanist engineers” of tomorrow, capable of implementing the just energy transition that our planet needs.

People make all this possible. Whether we are talking about the colleagues who have dedicated their time to educating  the more than 1.300 students who have participated in our lectures, the experts who have taken care of the restoration of MAIRE's historical archive drawing, the professors from Italy's most prestigious universities and partners who have designed with us new projects or helped us promote them, the colleagues who have found historical instruments in the office’s basement and have turned them into a literary contest, the colleagues who have reinvented themselves as writers, the friends of the Foundation who have supported our initiatives through their generous donations, they all have at least one thing in common: they create the reality of Fondazione MAIRE, as is today, and with these pages, we want to tell you about their commitment, and invite you to be part of it!

The energy transition concerns us all: it is an economic, cultural and social transformation to be implemented all together. Shall we make sure it leaves no-one behind?
