On November 13, 2025, a double event was held in Milan to celebrate our book “In-Genium. Gazes into technology past and future”: from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts to our offices, showcasing art, talent, and the connections they can create.

"Telling the story of entrepreneurship. To make open and connected enterprises grow" is the theme of the 24th Confindustria and Museimpresa Enterprise Culture Week, scheduled for November 14-28, 2025, which we have joined and anticipated with a double event organized by MAIRE group and Fondazione MAIRE – ETS.

On November 13, as part of the Book City Milano 2025 initiatives, in the evocative setting of the Pinacoteca di Brera, we presented the book “In-genium. Gazes into technology past and future” the result of a collaboration between the MAIRE group, the Foundation, the Colosseum Archaeological Park, and the Academies of Fine Arts of Brera, Catania, and Rome.

The presentation, entitled “Technology: yesterday and tomorrow” took place in a lecture hall packed with young artists and students. Participants included Carmelo Nicosia, professor at the Academy of Catania and project coordinator; Cosmo Laera, professor at the Brera Academy; Giovanni Curtis, professor at the Brera Academy; photographers Noemi Comi and Gabriele Barbagallo; Carlo Nicolais, Vice President of Institutional Relations, Communication, and Sustainability at MAIRE, and Massimo Dapoto, Group Communications Manager at MAIRE.

The book “In-genium. Gazes into technology past and future” published by Silvana Editoriale in 2024, is a journey through the history of téchne—the art of craftsmanship and knowledge— exploring the roots of ancient technology and its links with today's engineering skills, embracing the philosophical, semiotic, architectural, and archaeological spheres, but above all offering a reflection on the challenges of sustainability and innovation through the language of contemporary photography.

Some of the photographs contained in the book have been turned into a photographic exhibition, set up in the MAIRE Torri Garibaldi complex in Milan and inaugurated on the afternoon of the same day with a cultural welcome cocktail. The presentation was enriched by contributions from the main authors.

An open and informal dialogue highlighted the power of art in creating connections, even between worlds that are seemingly distant, such as industrial business and artistic talent. Art is the language we have chosen to talk about social responsibility, sustainability, and energy transition, especially with the younger generations.

The exhibition, which is free and open to the public, will remain on display until November 26, 2025.
