The power of art and the talent of young artists to look to the future together and implement the energy transition: these are the ingredients of the award ceremony of the “EvolveArt” competition, promoted with a call for entries last November by the Fondazione MAIRE and MAIRE Group together with the Associazione Amici della Biennale dei Licei Artistici (AbiLiArt) and the Rete Nazionale dei Licei Artistici (ReNaLiArt).
The award ceremony took place on 20 May 2024 in the evocative and unique setting of the Colosseum Archaeological Park, in the presence of our partners, the jury and the friends and supporters of MAIRE Foundation.
The guests were welcomed by Alfonsina Russo, Superintendent of the Parco Archeologico del Colosseo (Rome Colosseum Archaeological Park), and our Chairman Fabrizio Di Amato. Mariagrazia Dardanelli, President of the AbiLiArt Association, presented the event featuring the participation of Danilo Vicca and Carlo Nicolais - in the role of President of the competition jury.
One by one, the young winners were called to the stage as their winning work was projected onto a giant screen. Each artist was given the floor to explain their point of view, their approach to the issues of energy transition and the creative origin of the winning artwork. A delightful moment to share creativity and emotion, led by our General Manager, Ilaria Catastini.
On 20 May, for the occasion, the artworks were exhibited along the Via Sacra in Rome to create an itinerary that would accompany the guests of the event inside the Archaeological Park, where the award ceremony took place. In order to promote this art and allow a wider audience to enjoy it, the artworks remained in the same place until 28 May, for the benefit of all passers-by.
