FOCUS QATAR AND ARGENTINA;
DATA UPDATE FOR THE US AND CHINA as of 2025

Our international research on the demand of skills for the energy transition is going on, with two new countries in 2025 - Qatar e Argentina - that bring the total panel to 14 Countries in 4 continents, with a data review in Cina and USA in comparison with 2023.

Fondazione MAIRE – ETS, with the sponsorship of MAIRE, brings to the discussion the perceived urgency of the creation and upskilling of competences that are necessary to reach climate goals.

The study is realized for Fondazione MAIRE – ETS by IPSOS Italia, with a total number of 2.300 interviews today plus 19 deep dives with experts in Italy, UK, Turkey, KSA, UAE, China, India, Algeria, United States, Chile, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Qatar and Argentina.


The study offers an extremely interesting scenario.

Western economies on the energy transition. Despite the mainstream feeling, countries around the world are realizing that investing in energy transition is a competitive move - driving new industrial sectors, fostering new businesses, creating jobs. Investing in the energy transition means positioning nations for their future in geo-economic and geo-political terms.

Thousands of new jobs and millions of new skills are needed to serve a low-carbon, and circular economy and the urgency to create competences is somehow felt almost everywhere.
