The energy transition is transforming the world of work and requires new skills, new professions, and an increasingly active role for the younger generations. To meet this challenge, it is essential to ensure that young people have informed access to the educational and professional opportunities that will shape the changes of the coming years.

This vision has given rise to a collaboration between the Fondazione MAIRE – ETS, the Foundation Green Innovation, and the Islamic Cultural Center of Italy – Grand Mosque of Rome: an initiative dedicated to guidance, education, and raising awareness on the topics of sustainability and the energy transition, aimed at young people, their families, and the community.

The initiative brings together training, the community, and the world of work, with the goal of guiding the younger generation in discovering the professions of the future in the energy transition sector and the energy sector as a whole, as well as the skills needed to build a more sustainable, inclusive, and innovative society.

The initiative aims to:

  • raise awareness of the educational and professional opportunities offered by the evolving energy sector;
  • introduce youth to the topics of sustainability, innovation, and new energy sources;
  • contribute to the development of technical and transferable skills that are increasingly in demand in the workforce;
  • support informed career orientation toward emerging fields of study, professions, and careers;
  • engage families and communities in the educational and professional growth of the younger generation;
  • promote intercultural dialogue as a driver of inclusion, participation, and social development.
