Archivissima 2025, “on the side of the future”: the Fondazione MAIRE – ETS is taking part in this year’s event too, showcasing talented artists!
NEWSThe eighth edition of “Archivissima” took place from 5 to 8 June 2025, offering an opportunity to look to the future together with all the archives that took part. The Fondazione MAIRE – ETS took part for the third year running, showcasing the Group’s heritage through the creativity of its colleagues and a number of young students.
The eighth edition of Archivissima – promoted by Promemoria Group and organised by the social promotion association Archivissima APS – in 2025 reaffirmed its commitment to promoting the cultural heritage preserved in corporate historical archives for the benefit of the general public: with nearly 500 organisations from Italy’s 20 regions, 45 regional or thematic networks, 160 in-person events across the country, a programme of entirely live events in Turin and hundreds of previously unpublished digital resources, Archivissima stands as a major celebration of archives and heritage promotion, unique in its kind.
The Fondazione MAIRE – ETS took part, for the third consecutive year, in ‘La Notte degli Archivi’ with two contributions, inspired by the designated theme #DALLAPARTEDELFUTURO, which set the most fitting scene: building the future by drawing on the past and our roots.
The first contribution was the short story “Tesla, Notre-Dame and the Cosfimetro”, written by a group of pupils from class 4AS at the “L. Malpighi” Scientific High School in Bologna, as part of the series of writings by Archivissima’s spin-off project “La scuola racconta”. The young students drew inspiration from the cosfimetro, one of the historical tools they were able to discover and explore first-hand during the PCTO programme exploring the MAIRE Historical Archive, organised by the Foundation at the Torri Garibaldi in Milan a few months earlier as part of the “A Scuola d’impresa” initiative.
The second contribution was the story “MAIRE su Marte/MAIRE on Mars”, written by our MAIRE colleague Alberto Cavallo for the “Barbara Picutti Creative Contest” – 2025 edition “Route Tales” – in which he also received a special mention in the “Technology evolution category”.
Archives are a treasure trove of stories; sometimes all it takes is the right opportunity to tell them!
